Ground sheets

Hope someone cn help.

OK we've now bought a full awning (divorce pending LOL ) and I need a ground sheet. Now apart from putting it up and measuring inside (which I can't do because the vans in storage) how do I know what size of groundsheet I need. OK I know the width its 2.5 mtrs but what about the length. I need the groundsheet for our next trip.

Do they come with all the edges sewed and eyelets or can you trim the groundsheet down if you get it too long ? I'm looking at an open weave one. (are they OK )

Any advice or help would be appreciated

Ours is a bit longer than the length of the van and we just tuck the rest underneath - that allows for any 'tolerance' when the ground is not level, and makes sure there are no gaps!

Hi.We used an open weave one for 2 years to `let the grass breathe` but it been so wet that the worms were coming up through it ewwwwww..shudder.. and I plead with hubby to use the old cheaper one but he hasnt yet! lol

I know what you mean but now most sites (deffo CC and C&CC insist on breathable groundsheets) and if your caught using an old "tarp" type one you are asked to leave.
