group holidays

Having caravaned in the uk for many years now we think its time to venture abroad but are hesitant to go solo.Any info on groups who travel together or comments from people in the same position would be welcomed. We are in our 40's and have two children ages 4 and 6

Hi brian,

we are new to vanning and will eventually venture abroad, we are similar age with a 15,3,2 year old, let us know if you ever find anything(vice versa) and would be a great idea, it doesnt seem as scary when theres a few of you !!!

Some years ago we went with Eurocamp Independant to the Jura region of France. It was so easy and when we got there the site was full of like minded people with their own caravan and children of all ages. The kids clubs are brilliant if your little ones like that kind of thing, and the couriers will babysit or whatever. If that is not your kind of thing you don't have to be involved be you have the security of knowing you are backed by eurocamp if things are a bit scary! We loved it and ended returning to France just about every year since our daughter was 2( she is now nearly 17!). We did it all ways, Eurocamp tent, mobile home, took our own etc etc we had a year off last year and went to centre parcs here in this country but guess what! we missed it so much we are going back again this year and doing nearly 3 weeks touring, this time completely independantly but we are very confident about it having done the "eurocamp" thing.

Good luck!

Caroline
