Many manufacturer/importers have no control over delivery from factory/port to the dealer - they make vehicles available to the 3rd party delivery companies who assemble loads which usually require a mix of vehicles to fill the transporter but they also select vehicles going to nearby dealerships.
You might do best to phone the dealership each day and check if it's arrived - it's common that the first confirmation they get is when the transporter is parked outside !!

The Chief Executives' office at LR have assured me they'll be ringing back today with an update. Dealer useless this morning but at least salesman is back in from hols tomorrow!! fingers crossed we get it by the weekend?! They haven't got much to do to it when it arrives, 13 pin electrics, roof rack and ladder to fit and light guards etc. Don't expect with LR there'll be much PDI done! Mats etc to put in.

The dealer PDI also includes a liberal spraying with good quality mud so the neighbours can be impressed when you turn up on the drive. Just say you thought you would bring it home via a few UCRs.

rang back the next day having located it somewhere!! may be with the dealer early next week?? Dealer still to get the final price for the expedition roof rack and ladder!! Apparently not sorted yet as the parts department don't like getting them in as they take up too much space!!! Hope that arrives on time as well!! hey ho may be here somewhen next week!! Tuesday though is one of the only clear days in the busy schedule of swimbo!!

Should be tastyish hopefully, certainly be the only one in our town.

Allegedly to be delivered Friday,hopefully to be picked up Tuesday or Wednesday,only got to have sidesteps fitted and PDI
Who can tell though,I have to say getting the dealer to call back is hard work.
HAve booked CDF Towbars to fit on Feb 1st and booked a long weekend at the CC site at Sandringham on the 10th Feb weather permitting to see what it tows like

Well we've both had a long old wait!! Just found out having been into the bank that they won't do a cheque!!!!! Had to come home transfer to current account to then pay by debit card!!

I have to say most of the time the dealer has phoned back or emailed the same day. We ended up going to York as the nearer dealer (over looking the Humber) ignored us completely when we went to the showroom. Obviously didn't look quite as 'sophisticated' as their RR customers tee hee!!

We're going to have a local run out, me one way and swimbo back before the 300 mile half term hike!! Haven't towed with a manual for about 12 years!!

We were hoping for Tuesday as it'll be my 40th but no chance of before the end of the week at a guess!
