Gt Yorks Showground CC site

Hi, does anyone know whats happened to the Gt Yorkshire Showground site at Harrogate ,it appears to be closed and I cant find any reference to it on the CC website

Great Yorkshire Showground Site is on the Caravan Club web site.

Click on Search and Book.

Under Sites scroll down to Yorkshire.

Great Yorkshire Showground is in alphabetical order.

Details of the site are shown, however as stated on the web site it closed for the season on the 28th September.

The site at Harrogate is now permanently closed.We had a look round it last year.I assume it was leased to the Club but is now going to be developed....this is what the warden told us......so that's it.

There is a 'replacement' site in Knaresborough. Agreed doesn't have the easy access of Harrogate site either to Sainsbury's or to the town, but nonetheless it is a nice site.

There is also a commercial site at Rudding Park not so far from the former CC site which is of a very high standard but likely will not be cheap.

Thanks all thought it looked like it was closed ,but just a bit odd there does not seem to be mentioned in CC website

Last I heard was there is going to be a hotel built on the site.
