I’m desperately looking for more space on my office bookshelves and at present two shelves are full of various travel guides. In some respect they are memories of places visited and enjoyed, but in five years since moving house I can’t recall having taken one down and read it. The thing is that I hate wastage and would love to see them have a second life. In many respects the information in them is still valid, as history, culture, geography, fauna and flora etc don't go out of date. Other information like restaurants, opening times and entry charges for venues, transport, medical services etc do go out of date and are more readily found on the internet.
What do you do with your travel guides? Library, local school, used book company/charity?
