Hailstorm!!!!

Hello All,

Just been to Italy, ended up in a MASSIVE hailstorm with blocks of ice the size of golf balls coming down! Unfortunately, this caused severe damage to our caravan. When we got home ( yesterday ), our local dealer said that the van was more than likely a write off ( we are gutted! ), having never dealt with insurance companies before, has anybody any advice for us or been through a similar experience? Jonah, sorry to hear of your trouble.

If you have insurance through the Caravan Club, just ring the claims number and they will tell you what to do.

They will send an assessor to examine your van and will sort the claim out very quickly with the minimum of fuss.

If you are insured with anyone else,,I do not know how you will get on.

Thankyou for your reply. We are not insured with the caravan club, we are now in the process of filling out the claim form to our insurance company, so fingers crossed. Best wishes, Jonah.
