Not easter yet. But to all those setting off for a long weekend, (or staying at home), have a lovely time.

(I'll be back on Sunday with Easter greetings)

Good luck to you Colin. When you retire you go away when everyone else is at work ie weekdays not weekends.

Only problem with being retired is it's a hard life trying to get the holidays in ( don't know how I found time to go to work ).

Colin, wishing you a very happy retirement, when you eventually finish work in 2 weeks time! I can thoroughly recommend retirement, and although I retired early, and have not worked for 7 years, there is never a day goes by without me thanking my lucky stars I don't have to go out to work any more!

I think the most brilliant thing about being retired is the knowledge that if you wake up to find it's a lovely day, you can just chuck everything in the 'van and take off somewhere! I think since I got back into caravanning I've only attended one pre-booked meet, the other 7 trips have all been spur-of-the-moment outings. That's the best thing about caravanning. What's the point of booking up to go somewhere, and spend a week in inclement weather, when you can disappear at the drop of a hat when the weather forecast is looking more hopeful? I spent too many years doing that, especially when most of my days off were midweek!
