Hargil House Richmond

Hi!

Anyone been to this site, is the Pub within easy reach, been on Google say's its about 1/2 mile to the first one in the village.

What are the walks like we have to Yorkshire Terries both good walkers will do you 6 to 8 miles easy.

Not bothered about the site has its CC and all are well kept, just want to make sure plenty to do if the weather is bad.

Have stayed on this site a number of times and really enjoyed it. Only thing to look out for is to try and get into the lower area as the top pitches are on grass and are quite near the road which can be a bit noisy. The pup is within easy walking distance although it is at the bottom of a rather steep hill which makes for a tough walk back to the site. Apart from that there are no problems, there are plenty of minor roads around the area where you could walk the dogs for miles. The main A66 road is now dual carriageway where you turn off for the site which makes access easier especially if coming from Penrith direction. Hope this helps and you enjoy your stay. William

Thankyou William for your response, used to walking back up steep hills from the pubs as where we live in Bollington near Macclesfield is very hilly.
