Has the Gulf crisis changed your driving approach?

I'm finding myself rearranging things, for example:
The new car has to go back to the dealer 80 miles away for warranty work. Normally I would have run it up there and C would have brought me back so 240 car miles to deliver it and 240 car miles to collect, 480 car miles altogether or £85 worth of fuel at todays prices.
However it has now been rescheduled so that we drop it off on the way somewhere else and collect on the way back that's 200 car miles extra or £35 worth of fuel.
I feel I will be doing more of this in future.

Isn't there a franchised dealer nearer than 80 miles?

The car is new to us not new, I don't buy new cars, let someone else take the depreciation hit. It also wasn't bought from a franchised dealer just a car sales place.

There is a franchised dealer 8 miles away from us but I use the local independent VAG specialist for all my servicing etc.
