Have you lost a rooflight off your motorhome?

Hi all,we were staying at Longleat CC site and had gone out for the day. On the way back on the A361 between Glasonbury and Shepton Mallet a motorhomes rooflight blew off and hit my car damaging the wingmirror and giving me quite a shock. It was going in the opposite direction and as the roads were busy going both ways I could not stop. This happened on June29th.Is this a common thing to happen or did the person forget to close it.I reported to my insurnace Co and I have to pay the first £100. So who ever it was Thanks.

Or a rooflight from your caravan Heki - one at the roadside on the A660 just outside Otley! Were you on your way from Leeds to the Dales/Lakes/Ilkey Moor? It was there for a week, and has now been removed.

Lesson - always check that your Heki is secure before setting off - we've seen so many flapping about in the wind!
