Hi David. When I got to Craig tara last year I was greeted by staff who made me stand for a full 15 minutes while they discussed and organized their night out, so that didn't set me in the best frame of mind. As is usual with Haven sites there is nothing for young kids to do in the touring area, which is outwith the main complex. So if you want to relax for a bit in your van while the kids play you'll be at a loss, the touring area is no more than a grey gravel car park. That said, the complex itself is first rate and the swimming pool is on 4or5 different levels, really quite impressive.

David, I have a vague memory of the shower block being little more than a wooden hut, although memory isn't my strong point. I can't remember thinking it was dirty, so it must have been ok.

Yes like most Haven parks the touring area seems to be a token gesture, almost as if tourers are second rate citizens after the worshipped "owners' exclusive".
