Haycroft CC Site- resticted numbers at Easter

Just had a call from the Warden at Haycoft Nr Swanage cancelling my Easter booking as the site is waterlogged. The site has only 29 hardstandings and all grass pitches cannot be used. We requested a hardstanding and booked last Dec.!!!!

We only live 45 minutes from this site, the weather is windy but lovely with no rain forcast this week at least. It strikes me this is a little premature. Contacted the CC and the nearest site we can get on is Exeter or further South West. Have booked Exeter while we consider options.
 
Hi Andrew, I know just how you feel. We had this happen to us a few years ago. On Good Friday we found out there had been some cancellations so we managed to get on to our chosen site. Our Easter site now has mostly hardstandings so we no longer suffer this problem. The CC will not let you specify a particular pitch or hardstanding when booking, they are purely first come first served. Hope you have a good Easter wherever you end up.
