I have an intermitent fault with my heater whilst using electric electric has anybody had any similar problems and if so where do i start looking. a replacement unit is quit expensive. make is carver cascader, van age 1999,

If I remember right, the electric side to the cascade is simply an electric elemement and a thermostat. So as I assume you have checked you have a good connection to the back of the unit. And you are happy that the 240v supply is a good one, then unfortunatly the only fault can be with the element itself.
