We have a swift caravan 2000 fitted with a Carver 5500 fire/heating system. Could you please tell us how to work this system and information. We did not get a manual for it so any help at all will be useful.

The Fanmaster 5500 is simple to operate. The system is switched on by a rocker switch ( Looks like a normal light switch ) on my Swift Challenger it is located beneath the off side front seat ( 2 switches one for Fanmaster & one for water heater ).

The fire has two slide switches on the top panel. The front one has 5 positions

( 1. Off )

( 2. Fan only )

( 3. IKw convector heating )

( 4. IKw fan assisted )

( 5. 2.Kw fan assisted )

The rear sliding swith is the thermostat to control the output of the system

The round nob on the right side top panel is for using gas, depress and turn anti clockwise to light fire.

Thank you for your reply Steve it was a big help. Can you run the gas and electric together if it is really cold or is it just one or the other.
