Height of Air/Con Unit

Can anyone tell me if a factory fitted Air/Con unit would increase the overall height above what is listed on manufacturers brouchure.

I have a factory fitted Electrolux unit and whilst it adds height to the van it is still within the height of the Status ariel (even with the antenna screwed off) so effectivley it has no impact.

There are other aircon units such as the Truma/Frostair unit which fits in bedding locker. This not only does not increase the height, but keeps the heavy units low down, and thus has less of an impact on handling.

My 2002 Sterling height with Electrolux a/c is 2.69m, without it is 2.47m to the roof and 2.76m to the top of the status aerial. However, you can unscrew the top of the status areial and save enough height to come within the max height for Brittany Ferries at their standard price. So, theoretically, you would be charged extra (
