Both gas struts have failed. Not bad for,15 years! New ones from Bailey are £80 a pair. SGS better engineered ones cost me £44 the pair👍👍👍
Has anyone changed their struts? Any key pointers please? At the moment I can’t quite see how the end fasteners are removed. Help!

There are a couple of different methods. But most use a simple spring metal clip which just needs prising away. Some a collar to pull back. Once you've done one they are very easy.

I’ve used SGS on car rear load doors and they are good quality. You should get anothe 15 years at least.
