Heki or Remis Vario rooflight

My 2007 bailey pargent has a side opening roof light, not the normal front opening heki, it also has a winder to open n close, and the frame inside van has built in lighting, I think it's called a (Remis Vario ) although I can't find any make on it, I just wondered were these factory fitted by Bailey or was it fitted by the previous owner, if so why would you change it from a heki as looking at prices for this they're not cheap what would be the advantages for this.

A sunroof was standard on Pageants in 2001, possibly earlier, so I doubt yours is a retrofit.
Bailey used Remi sunroofs for a long time, rather than the more common Heki, certainly from 2000 to 2005 and quite possibly longer.
Bailey/Remi went through a whole series of annual sunroof sagas - the 2001s cracked around the mounting points and were changed for a thicker plastic design - the 2002s were moved forward but lost their covers during towing - they got moved back and turned sideways after that but still gave problems.
