Hi,

we are going away for 2 weeks from next week. Nightmare of nightmares today when i went to give my 2006 pageant bordeaux a clean up ready.

It would seem that one of the neighbours has set off some of those chinese candle things that float through the air and it has landed of all places fight on my roof light.

It must have sat burning for a while because it has melted the roof light and made a right mess. It does not seem to be leaking but has burned and gone out of shape and feels brittle.

My wife is sitting sobbing as she is worried we will not be able to go away. Of course none of the neighbours saw anything and none set of these candles.

What can i do - do i ring my insurers and tell them and see if they can get it done quick, just wing it and hope it doesn't break or leak or cancel my hols.

anyone any ideas where i can get one from quick.

Certainly don't cancel the Holiday, consider Gaffer tape in a cris cross pattern to strengthen it, much the same as glass window were during the war!

have your holiday,just use tape to strengthen the roof light,ring the dealer and order a new roof vent cover,i have replaced the whole unit for
