I am a disabled caravaner being doing it for twenty years at present we have a Citroen Grand Picasso 1.6 HDI 110 bph (2010) and we have a 2008 Bailey Discovery Mercury Series 5 caravan this is a fixed bed .
Hello Mr Tomenson, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum. There are sometimes questions on the forum from people wanting to know about equipment for disabled caravanners to use so any advive that you can give either about caravanning with a disability or from your 20 years experience will be very welcome.
We have a caravan with a fixed bed and we'd never go back to making beds up every night now.
I thought that my luck had changed for a minute there
It's always nice to welcome new members Bb, many of our members unfortunately hardly ever look at this section of the forum and then they try to say that the forum is 'quiet' because there are 'no new members'.
If more of them said 'Hi' to the newer members the forum would no doubt be busier, but never mind.
The members are friendly and helpful when you get in amongst them, perhaps they are shy?
Would it be impertinent of me to ask whether or in what way your disability impacts on your enjoyment of caravanning, are you ok to set up, empty the toilet or fetch water?
Can not fetch waer my wife has to put the legs down and up and set it for me ( We usually go on fully service pitches ) Have two sticks to help me to walk but not far get very tried very quickly .
