Welcome to the forum. We have the 85cm Oyster auto satellite dish fitted. Generally we use our phnoes for signal for our Smart Tv, but on occasions no mobile signal so have to use the satellite dish if we want to watch TV.

Welcome to the forum. Never been tempted to add the satellite option, Find it hard to find anything worth watching and do manage without the box sometimes.

We went down the Freesat route 13 years ago - to cope with the lack of DTV signal in mountainous or remote areas - with the added bonus of a PVR for time-shifting programmes.

Sky and it's multitude of channels has never held any appeal.

Same here as we found Sky was no longer value for money. Also as we travel to the continent the satellite dish was very useful.

We had Sky when it first entered the domestic market but cancelled after a couple of years. Went terrestrial Freevuew, then in 2019 Freesat at home. From 2008-14 used a small mobile Satdish kit from Melksham Satellite Systems which seemed to defy all the odds and could be used in Scotland and into southern France.

We tend to record programmes off tv channels which enables us to watch them and cope with interminable evening phone calls. These days though there’s so much good stuff on tv and streaming services we’d have to start watching before our normal 1900 pm supper time.

Welcome to the Forum Keitj,
I own up now and say we use the Sky system with a 66cm elliptical Dish. Had the current system 20 years , full HD and all channels. Never failed to get a picture.
