Just bought myself and the family a great caravan on e-bay,so i thought id say hello.Ive already picked up some great tips on this site. The van i bought was a 99 Swift Alouette(Azzura),and its like new. Im pulling it with a Honda CRV,petrol!(bought the car before the caravan). Its got a thirst like Shane McGowan,and a very small petrol tank,had to re-fuel 4 times between Derby and Inverness!

Welcome to caravanning. Sounds like a change to diesel is on the cards or shares in shell!!

Easing off to 55 does save a good 3mpg so try that first mate.
