Hi everyone,

Just introducing ourselves after 15 year break from caravans but bought one again so we can get weekends away and take the dog with us 🙂

We have bought an Abbey Expression 520L and towing it with a Chrysler 300C turbo diesel. makes for a looooong unit when hitched up though.

Hi and a big welcome back to the caravanning world, bet it's changed a bit from 15 years ago.
 
Thank you for the welcome people. Things have changed lots since we first had a tourer, we started originally in 1986 with a mid 1950s Travelmaster towing with a 1971 Austin 3 Litre and traded up to a 1970s Europa towing with a MK 2 Ford Granada. No luxuries of running hot water and central heating back then ....

We have our first run out this coming weekend to Kelham Hall site near Newark and then heading down to the south coast next month
 
Hi Bob 'n Libby, welcome back to the wonderful world of touring, and to this wonderful Forum! What sort of dog have you got? I share my little unit with a Bearded Collie called Echo, alias Princess Wotamess!
 
Our companion/dog is Mr Chip, a chocolate Labrador who is 5 years old and is a rescue dog. We have only had him since march but he has settled great 🙂
