Hello from Sweden

Hello everyone!

My name is Johan, Im 21 years old and lives in Sweden. I love caravans, work at a caravan rental company and write articles for caravan magazines. I also live permanently in a caravan, which you can see in the photo bellow. Its a Kabe Briljant Deluxe from 1980. Its not actually mine, I borrow it from the rental Company. My own Knaus Südwind Exclusive 500 is parked at a company that is helping me try to sell it.

I run my own blog about caravans at www.caravanum.se. I translate all my posts into english and I hope you will enjoy reading it. It features both news in the industry, but also reports from my own lifestyle.

Hi Johan, welcome to the forum, gee you got the caravan bug a bit early in life 🙂

Did you caravan with your parents as a child?

Actually, we only rented a caravan two times when I was with my family. First when I was 9 and then when I was 15. My parents are not as much into it as I am. They like the comfort and space of cottages and hotels more. It was a bit sad for me but now when Im on my own I can live in a caravan as much as I want to. So it is a bit of a compensation for all the years with no caravaning 😉

Hi Johan, welcome to this forum. I've had a quick look at your blog and found it very interesting, will definitely go back for another look when I've more time to spare. Don't suppose you come across any British made caravans over in Sweden? Just wondering how you would compare them to the type you are used to.

Rob

Hi Johan, welcome to the forum. Good to have Scandinavian representatives on here. Hope you keep posting.

Hello and welcome Johan,

It will be very interesting to compare Swedish caravanning trends with those in the UK, and elsewhere on the continent. I know from professional research I have done in the past that our needs, desires and expectations can vary so much across country boundaries. I am sure we can both learn a lot.

Hi Johan, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum. It's great to have people on here from outside the UK and Scandinavia has proved popular with the Practical Caravan team of late – our Group Editor was in Denmark recently, which you can read about in our new issue, and I was in Sweden earlier this year (although, granted, I wasn't in a caravan).

Hi Johan, welcome to the forum and congratulations on your blog.
How did you find out about Practical Caravan forum
