Hello , New first time caravan owner

Good morning all,
thought I had better join as I am now a proud owner of our first caravan.
Previously had Tent, Trailer Tent and now a 1991 Adria Optima 485b caravan ( old but so far so good)
Live in Scotland in Clackmannanshire.
Looking forward to having a bit of banter and broadening my knowledge of all things caravan.

Hi Naedoot, welcome to the forum and indeed to the site...Like you im pretty new here tho not to caravanning itself although i have been away from it for a few years..At my wifes request ive made a recent return and like you, this time around, ive started with an older caravan..1991 Elddis Whirlwind XL which is despite its years in fantastic condition...I hope you enjoy caravanning, this site and all that goes with it...Regards..Steve

Thanks for the welcome. The tent was fine however when you end up on holiday and all it does is rain year in year out it became a bit of a problem. The trailer tent we had was good for its age however having the luxury of not having to get clothes on to go to the toilet and little or no hassle getting setup the caravan was the better choice.

A good move getting a caravan.
We started with a NR Nimrod trailer tent whicb served us well. But we love ths caravan best.

What's rivalot?
Yes Hillhead in my opinion was that bad. Newbies might like the chavvi site but I don't anymore.
