Has anyone got a compass omega 550? Could do with some advice. The user guide is genetic rather than specific to our van.

Most instruction manuals are pretty generic. Is there something specific that you are looking for?

If you need help on a specific point then can you give the year of your caravan. As Martin says though all makes issue one book for the entire range but it should cover almost everything. You normally also get the manuald for the working items as well.

OK here goes, the heater we have kind of worked out when on electric. For it to work on gas would we somehow disconnect from the electric?
How do you know whether to put another dial on 500/1000/2000 ?
We also have some switches and can't find what they are for.
There is a slider 'thing' we think this is something to do with the direction of the warm air?

I'm sure in a few months I will realise how stupid these questions are.
If any light can be shed it would be helpful?
Thanks
Jay

Assuming you mean the space heater - No, just have it switched off. Water heaters CAN be used with both gas AND electric on at the same time for quicker heating up.

The numbers are the power rating of the electric elements ie 500W 1000W and 2000W. You use the setting that gives you the warmth you want, as you would a domestic electric fan heater.

No such thing as a stupid question. Although often some of my answers are a bit suspect :silly:

The slider thingy is the on/off for the blown air. Make sure the heater is up to temp before putting the blown air on otherwise you'll just have cold air blowing at your ankles.
