Hello to all at Practical Caravan

Hi my name is Andrea and I have just bought my first caravan. A Bailey Pageant Monarch 2004. Absolutely love it! So easy to tow and has everything I need. The previous owner had not serviced it in 3 years, so had that done straight away and 2 new tyres too. Bought a second-hand Isabella awning (like new) and a motor mover and finally a Hyundai 2000 generator off ebay and we were ready for our holidays with the dogs. I do a lot of dog shows, so my mum comes along with me too for company and for a break away. She's great at cooking and helps me with the awning , I do all the caravan stuff like fetching water and emptying the loo!

Just about to invest in a d&t windbreak to complete my little set-up. Really enjoying caravanning , I admit I'm too old for tenting now and the comfort of a caravan with a lovely cooker, bed, heating, water and a big end washroom is like heaven. Especially if I have hook-up to on a showground site, as its not always possible. I have become a completely addicted to caravanning and am looking forward to buying a VW Transporter (2nd hand off course!) in the near future currently have a Touran TDI 1.9 which is doing well with the caravan. Have my heart set on a fixed twin bed in the future, but for now the little bailey is great. Have read so much in the magazine and online , such great advice, that has really helped in the choices I have made.

Now looking at recommended sites to go and visit. But can't help looking at gadgets, currently looking for a good set of awning lights.

Welcome to the PC Forum. Glad that info you've read in the magazine and posted on the forum has been of help.
Happy and safe caravanning!

Hello Andrea, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum and congratulations on buying your first caravan.
There are always more gadgets to buy and there are some lovely well run sites to stay on, ask on the UK Parks & Touring message board and you should receive some recommendations for dog friendly campsites
