Hello all,
I have just joined the forum and have been a caravaner for more years etc!
At the moment we don't have a caravan as we are awaiting the delivery of an Elddis Avante 550 which won't be with us until the end of February. Our front garden seems quite empty since we took our Swift Bridgemere GT into the dealers.
February seems a long way off but I am sure that this forum will help pass the time.

Hi Gordon. Welcome to the forum. What was it about the Elddis that prompted the van change. We used to have an Avante based dealer special. It was a good van.

Thanks for the replies. Mel the thing that attracted us to the Avante 550 was the end bedroom with it's island bed, also the general layout of the van. Our previous van was a dealer special, a Swift Bridgemere GT which we loved, but I didn't love making the bed every night. I will do a full report when the van arrives.

I'm in the same predicament as you, isn't it weird not having a 'van. It's like someone has turned down the colour in your life!
