Help in buying a caravan in Spain

I hope to buy a small single axle caravan in Spain which is advertised at a storage facility. There is a wide choice, each van with papers pertaining to various European countries. Can this present a problem when regularising change of ownership for use and touring with an Irish plated tow-car. I have absolutely no knowledge on this matter and any tips will be appreciated.
Dave.

You would have absolutely no problem buying in Spain as long as you put the same reg plates on as your English/Irish plates.
Spanish cars need a Spanish plated caravan and is a totally different ball game.

There are loads of caravans for sale in Spain, just take your own plates with you,do not try to tow a caravan with different plates to your car as you will be stopped

Thanks Bopeep. Good to know that I only need to put a plate with my car reg. on the back. I'm only trying to avoid pit falls with the legal aspects of buying overseas. Is there any thing I need to be sure of with regard to change of ownership small print and transfer of owner. Have you info to share with me on this matter.
I hope to buy from an established storage facility with responsibility to dispose of certain caravans for the owners.

In the past I have bought a caravan from people on a camp site, just had a receipt from them and took it away, when I sold I sold through a storage unit with no bother. I just threw away the Dutch plate and put on my spare from the car.
I now have an English caravan pulled by an English car because I prefer an English caravan to a foriegn one.
If you wanted to register a caravan in Spain and some do it is a drawn out process, I have lived in Spain for 16 years and always had an English reg caravan pulled by an English car.
Buy it and enjoy it
