Help mondeo or Sportage

HI JOHN i have the mondeo tdci 130 ghia x estate (04)it tows my avondale rialto like a dream getting avrage 35-38 mpg on wknd trips , dont bother with the 6th gear or cruise control.you dont say what van you have,but elsewhere on this forum some people are towing twin wheelers !! with mondeos,overall a good towcar tj

This would very much depend upon how much you drive without the caravan on tow and if you enjoy driving.

The spotage will certainly be better over a wet cl field than the Mondeo but I think for comfort, driveability and resale value you would be far better off with a Mondeo.

I have the Sportage XE version which has less comforts than the XS. I have found it to be the bargin of the century as most people would not even give the Kia a second thought. Get your self a test drive in one. Also consider the Hyundia version the Tuscon whic is the same thing. But also listen to Tony go and give the Mondeo a test drive as well. I chose the Sportage over the X-Trail and a Freelander, and I had a budget of

I have been towing with a 138bhp diesel Sportage for over 2 years now and found it to be the best tow car I have owned. It is stable up to and over the legal speed limit and has no problem holding 6the gear even up hill. I nthe two years it has not had a single job done under warranty. MPG is also excellent 350 miles on a tank of diesel and it only holds 12.5 gal. Servicing is reasonable first service was
 
If you are interested in a Kia Sportage, Why not try the Kia Sorrento, The bigger version.

We have a Kia Sorrento and we are very pleased with it when towing and not towing.It depends how heavy your Caravan is.
