Started towing over three years ago with Renault estate, gear box went. Now have a four year old Kia Sedona and the gear box is on its way out. We like to go away at least once a month. Can any one recommend a car which has a good track record for towing without needing a new gear box every few years.

Provided you're towing within the vehicle manufacturers limits, then breaking gearboxes in successive cars is just very bad luck.

i,d be tempted to investigate why its failed.perhaps a seal has failed and its run low on oil.maybe it would be wise to get a recon box with a warrenty after all they seem to be a decent tow car.
