Help on new purchase prices

I'm thinking of trading in my Sterling Eccles Amethyst 2001 for a new van, in particular a new eldiss odysee 540.

Its badged at 14.8k (with show pack inc), and i'm offered 8.45k for mine trade in.

Anyone got a trade in price guide they can help me with? Also dealer wont shift on price of new van - surely they can give £500 or so...can't they?????

Hi Graham,

Although we didn`t have a van to sell as we were 1st time buyers we bought the Elddis Crusader Aurora which is the same layout as the 540 but the higher spec(and we also got the show pack) and we didn`t even pay as much as they`re asking you. We bought from Mendip(Couldn`t find anyone who could beat them on price). I`d either shop around or do what Joby says and sell yours privatly.

Thanks, has anyone got a black book for the value of mine?

I know selling private is better option but i really can't be bothered - and I'd like the van in the next few weeks for the annual big trip (nothing like being on the last minute is there?).

went to another dealing yesterday and they wouldnt give me a price but merly said - 'whne your ready to sign ring me and I'll tell you if i can beat the deal, or not' - great help, not.!

Al that counts is the price to change. As for selling privately..............good luck. Very hard, most buyers will want to part ex.
