Rough guestimate!

A cubic yard of gravel weighs roughly 1.4 tons (types vary in density) and will cover roughly 18 square yards at 2 inches deep.

We dug up our front lawn,laid weed control fibre, and covered the area with gravel.The area was 22 feet by 20 feet. The gravel is just over 2 inches deep and we used 15 tonnes.
