Just got a hardstanding and patio, where we like to caravan, but have a bit of a dilema! all the hooks are there in the patio for our awning, but what the hell can I put on my pole ends?. The feet I have has spikes for a grass pitch, and when I went to the caravan shop, I was told that you cannot get flat feet, for hardstanding or patio's. Im at my witt's end here trying to work out what to put on the pole ends. Help, please! Anyone...

Hi Julie Wales,

You can buy rubber suckers, about 2 inches diameter, designed to fit on the ends of awning poles to attach them to the sides of the caravan. Most awnings had them a few years ago. There is nothing to stop you useing them as feet on the end of the awning leg poles. You can still buy them from any caravan accessory shop. I saw some today in our caravan shop in Porthmadog. They are quite substantial and fit tightly onto the poles.

Hi Julie

Cut some squares of wood and drill a locating hole in the middle to take the spikes, pop one under each foot.
