HELP status 530 water leaking

hi there, i'm not an expert but you may need a couple of new "O" ring closed foam washers which fit around the mounting attachments with fit to the roof of which the status 530 pole slides through. If you telephone Grade UK on Tel: 0115 986 7151 press option 2 for customer services, Harvey one of their advisers there is very good and I'm sure will be able to give you an exact answer. Grade UK are the people who make the status antenna. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on. Cheers! Andrew.

If it is not much, you could try lubricating the pole with silicone grease (from plumbers merchant), this stopped a trickle on mine.
 
Hi

The water is running dowm inside the mast not down the outside so I don't think its the mounting causing the problem.

Spoke to the chap at Grade who is sending me some seals between the aerial head and the mast so fingers crossed.
 
An update.

Just removed the aerial and found the head to be full up with water.

The head was poorly sealed with silicone sealant, so a trip to Focus and it's now sealed.

If you have a Status 530 then it might be worth checking or running some sealant around the join before you have a wardrobe full of damp clothes !
