HELP!! Water pumps/water waste??

Hi,

We've just bought a Fleetwood Countryside 580/5 (2000) caravan and we love her dearly. Problem is, although there are manuals for everything we still cant work out how to connect it to a water supply using the Whale pump and dont even know where the 'grey' waste tubes and containers go. I had a go at doing it last night, followed the instructions, connected pump, turned everything on including the kitchen tap but the water just came out of what looked like an over spill pipe near to where I'd plugged the pump in outside. Can someone perhaps give me instructions on how to sort it please?

Thank you!

Alex, It sounds like the drain switch has been left open to completely empty the water system. Have a look under the front locker close to the water heater, there should be a yellow toggle switch in the pipework. If this is pointing straight up, the switch is open & water will simply pour out of the drain pipe. Close the switch & your water system should work fine. Hope this helps.

PS forgot to say, the grey water pipes are simply push fit onto the grey outlets covered by a plastic flap. Just put the waste container under the pipe & gravity will do the rest.
