Help with Bradcot Awning for newbee caravaner please

We have just recieved our new Bradcot awning size 1050 for our new Abbey Vouge 2 650 Caravan.

Having waited 8 weeks for delivery we were so excited about getting it up. To our horror the thing did not fit. We have mesured correctly and even asked our dealer the size we should order everything came back 1050. Now should 1050 mean 10 meters 50 cm.. and if so do you measure from the canvas seam from one mudguard to the other and should this measure 10m 50cm as ours only measures 10 metres 5 cms. The awaning is about 45 cms too short and it would mean the mud flaps would be be up at least about 20cm at either end. Are the mudflaps supposed to be a right angles to the canvas like most that we have seen on our site. Would be greatful for any advice
