Hendra in August

Thinking of going to Hendra next August. Has anybody been during the summer holidays.

Its a few years since we stayed there but had a poor pitch on a slope and was I thought too close to the van next to us. Everyone was jammed in like sardines. Then there was the utility block..............still perhaps they might have replaced it by now!!!

Entertainment was good though.

Ian, my sister and parents went last year in august and said it was the worst holiday in the van they have had, they said they had to que for over an hour each night for the showers, if they did not go in the club before 7 then it was full with no seats left and there was a two hour que for the pool and when you eventually got in you where given a 1 hour limit.

We have been to hendra loads of time in low season and it is great but from what i have been told its a place best avoided in high season, but then again tell me a comercial site that isnt best avoided in july / august.

theres so many more parks better than hendra in cornwall.

Went there a few years ago - never again. The gents toilets were filthy no matter what time of day, the electric shaver points were not working, litter all over the place, relief holiday help, possibly students?????, appeared more interested in chatting up teanage female holidaymakers and passing "cigarettes" around. I complained on a few occassions regarding the toilets and was offered a mop and bucket to clean them - at this point we left and went to Poole for the remainder of our holiday - can't see us ever going back there.

It depends what you want on site - No1 all singing/dancing or No2 no Bar but pool for kids and fishing for Dad etc.
