Hi Folks

We have owned a touring caravan continuously for 40 years this year and still loving it. Started with a 10ft 6in Ace Airstream with 2 children now own an Elldis Affinity 550 with only the two of us in it. How times change !!! Looking forward to friendly advice and chat.

Welcome to the forum, keep going as long as you can. We had to give up after 39 years, but we miss the freedom it gave to us,

Hi Phil E Welcome to the forum any questions you will get a answer they are a great bunch on here enjoy your latest caravan .

I gained experience within 40 seconds of connecting the caravan to the car the very first time we went away with it for a two week holiday….
I snapped the jockey wheel handle!!!

Since then I have also gained other experiences…🤣🤣🤣

Done that, although not the first time. Also on other occasions, left steadies down, handbrake on, motor mover still engaged etc. Before pulling off now, my wife always says :- STEADY JOCKEY STEPS on the BRAKES. Bless her, but it always works. Phil
