Hi Pepperpot
Welcome to the Forum. I bet you can't wait to get away in your new Cadiz.
I'm sure you know this already but do make sure the Dealer shows you everything , including the water systems , actually working. And please thoroughly check the exterior and interior for any blemishes. Once you drive away it will be very hard to prove the damage was present at the time of collection.

Welcome to the forum, Pepperpot. Dustydog is right, check everything you can. When we picked up our new Swift Challenger from the dealer, we found the press buttons on the outside lockers didn't work properly and they had to call someone out from the servicing bay to fix them. Our caravan had been towed behind a caravan transporter from the Swift factory to the dealership and several days after we had picked the caravan up, I opened the microwave door and found the glass base had been left in the microwave and it had bounced around during transportation, taking the paint off the bottom of the inside door. I phoned the dealership, as I had heard damage to the surface of a microwave interior is a bad thing, but the dealership told us that it was ok (?). You will probably be like we were, full of excitement at picking your new caravan up, but it was short lived, as we have been backwards and forwards for the last 4 years, getting problems sorted out. Be warned!

Hi welcome to the forum, eighteen weeks will fly by, if you have any questions you'll find a wealth of knowledge here. Enjoy planning your trips for next season.
Met a couple in Cornwall this year with Cadiz they loved it! So sure you will enjoy new van too but agree with Dusty check your new van as things can get missed in the excitement.
Keep us updated

Hi Pepperpot, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum

You will have time to plan the trips away in your new Cadiz in the next 18 weeks and at least you won't have to worry about winter storage. Who have you bought the Bailey from?

Hi meals on wheels, Yes you are right everything must be checked,When we picked our new compass up the dealer had it all set up and he showed us everything working,so we were happy at that,However next morning with the new van on the drive i decided to check it all again, and guess what, the heating would not work on the electric side so i contacted the dealer who told me to bring it back and they would fix it as they had the part (PCB board). that was the start of 4 years of trouble,it took 3 YEARS to fix the fire properly and thats not the only problems we encountered, the list go's on and on,we should not be having sutch trouble with a new van,so lets hope we have better luck with the Bailey.
