We're picking up our new caravan in a couple of weeks. Previously had an Elddis Avante 636, but sold that a could of years ago. Our son was 14 so too young to leave at home, but easily bored in the caravan with us oldies!
He's now almost 17 so we don't mind leaving him at home for a couple of nights now, so we decided it was time to invest in our dream caravan. We're getting a 2022 Lusso 2 and can't wait! Fortunate in that it comes with a twin mover, and a full size air awning, so along with the standard Lusso goodies (E & P, solar, wifi etc) we're good to go. Not sure what there is in terms of pegs for the awning, that's the first job when we get it home. It'll be on the drive too so I can keep it plugged in to mains as I did before, or actually, will the solar panel do that job for me?
The only thing we saved from our previous caravanning days were the towing mirrors, so now in 2026 I'd be interested to know what folk would recommend as essential to a nice weekend away. Appreciate it'll be different for different people, but let me know what you all think!
