Highlands. CC Sites

Hi all it's us again, just doing a bit of forward planning for next years holidays (always do this when we have just come home of hols feeling depressed) and are thinking of ether bunree, or morvich CC sites, as our west highland terrier Jack would love to go and visit his ancestral home land, well that's our excuse and we are sticking to it.

Your thoughts and ideas on ether site's would be greatly appreciated, things to see and do etc, or places that would be interesting to Jack! Lol

Hi Allan & Gill,

Both Bunree and Morvich are top of our list of excellent CC sites - but note that Bunree usually has to be booked well in advance, so popular is it.

From Bunree Fort William, Glen Nevis and the Aonach Mor gondola ski lifts which run all year at Nevis Range, The Spean Bridge Commando Memorial, Caledonian Canal, Loch Ness, etc., etc.,are all near at hand.

Morvich is close to Eilean Donan Castle (the most photographed castle in Scotland) and Skye is very accessible via the, now, toll-free Skye Bridge. Plockton, too, is worth a visit. It was the setting for the Hamish McBeth T.V. series and is a lovely vilage in a most spectacular setting. Palm trees grow in the street! Take a trip to Glen Elg from Shiel Bridge over a very scenic route with view points here and there.

You will enjoy both sites.
