As of this morning I am the proud owner of a Fleetwood Crystal! It's a complete shell at the moment, the previous owners appear to have gutted it to within an inch of its life, and just about left enough air in the tyres to make it towable. I've got heaps of ideas for it, and hope to make it holiday worthy within a year or two.

Does anyone here have any experience of completely renovating a caravan they could share with me?
I am completely new to caravans and all that encompasses, which is quite funny given my partner owns a business revolving around them!

TIA, Zoe :)

The couple I got it from didn't seem to know an awful lot about it, but Google reckons Crystals were made 91-93.
It's totally empty, all that's left is 4 cushions and it has a leak in the roof, so I'm expecting it to be damp to some degree. It has the electrics still, although I'm not sure if I trust them and the plumbing is all still there.
I didn't pay anything for it, which for me is something of a saving grace as I may have bitten off more than I can chew, it does come across as a complete clanger!

Welcome to the forum Tia.
This sounds a very interesting project. Is it your intention to design and build your own interior or try and source secondhand parts?

Hi Dusty,
A little bit of both really, possibly more hand crafted parts, so as long as I put the time and effort in it'll be truly unique. If I decide to refit the bathroom/toilet, definitely secondhand, think I'll save myself the tears!

P.s TIA stands for thanks in advance :)
