Stephen, you are entitled to feel aggrieved I think we would all be the same. This will be of little comfort to you at the moment but I want you to have some hope for the future. There are times in life when all seems hopeless but this will pass and you could find this is a turning point in your life and part of the learning process for you to be able to move forward in a positive way.I have been out of the work ethic for several years now but I have children who are still working.Over time things have changed in good and bad ways for them too. Most of the time we run on the spot just to stay where are. There have been times when I would have done a deal with the devil to get some security for my children. After all the trials and tribulations we are still standing and so will you.

HERE ENDETH THE LESSON!!!!!

If the car has received a whack strong enough to raise the towball by 1.5 inches it is more than likely that the car's underbody structure has suffered serious damage, too, not just the towbar. In fact, the towbar, being a fairly substantial piece of iron, could be left almost unscathed while the sheet metal to which it is attached is badly bent.

I have noticed that a large contributary (think I spelled it right) factor to knocks and dents is the ever dwindling size of parking spaces.
Cars are bigger now but spaces have stayed the same size,i did notice the new Tesco store in Havant has bigger bays now.
