Hitch coming up when driving.

Hi
I have one of the Alko hitch with the extra handle that claps down to tighten up the hitch.
Was fine when i used it earlier this year, but tow it three times over the last two week and 2 times out of 3 have got out to find the second handle slight up (not locked down where i put it).
Why? thanks for the help.
