hitch lock

hi i just bought a unicorn cadiz ,,just thought ,,will the hitch lock fit the new black type one as opposed to the red one on my old van ? hope that makes sense 😱hmy:

Why not try it on the caravan? Or is it too far away for a quick test fitting? I assume you are talking about the Alko hitchlocks? My red hitchlock fits the black Alko 3004 stabiliser.

its 50 miles away i dont get the caravan for a couple of weeks ,need to extend my drive to fit ,,that looks like it will fit then ,,just need to splash out on another wheel lock ,,no 33 if any body selling one ?

Try C&MHC classifieds or eBay. I bought a used one from a CMHC member so I could utilise the lock kit and keys. Then bought a No 22 from eBay without its lock kit. Then sold the one from the CMHC member on eBay. Just make sure how you buy if it's used that the lock/ keys have been deregistered so that you can re- register it with Alko.

Hi Robf1234,
With regards to your original post, the Al-Ko 3004 Hitchlock will fit both the old style Red Handle and the new Black version. I have had mine for 15yrs and I still use it on my present van (2014 Adria).
Best regards,
Martin

If you have any doubts possibly the easiest way is to take the old hitchlock with you and try it. If it is a problem then you could buy another, most dealers will give you a discount on equipment when buying from them.
Not sure what lock you have though but if you ring the manufacturer they should know and if it is still for sale their web site should show what it fits.
