hitchdrive mover

i have read numerous amounts on power movers, but i have seen nothing about the hitchdrive. it is a crank gearing movement, which is much cheaper than the electric ones and far lighter. Can anyone advise me on pro's and con's if any one uses one or if they are worth the money, many thanks for any info.

I was able to test one of these before buying, and was I glad!!

They are a certainly worthy of a "Gerald Rattner" prize as they are C**p.

I could only move our van on level ground and tarmac at that.

I've subsequently bought a Motor Mover (secondhand)and that works fine even with oue twin axle van.

One thing people forget about all the movers is that they should be regarded as equivilent to two/three people power when pushing a van, so don't expect them to do the impossible. Having said that I'm realy impressed with the accuracy you can achieve when moving a van with the motor mover, as we only have inches to spare when getting our van out and would not manage that with just people power.

Dont get one-they are really bad.

I have sampled the manual type and the electric type hitch mover-it is very difficult to get traction.

The fitted movers are alot better-I know they are more expensive but it is definately worth it. Second hand movers can be picked up for about
