Hi,

I need to reverse my car on my own to the tow ball (as my other half - my normal guide isn't available) - anyone got any tips or clever products to help. Apart from use the force !

Mike.

if you have a car with a ski hatch in the back seat (an arm rest in the cars backseat) there is also a flap on this open the book and you can see right through this hole, alternatively dwon part of your back seat and look out the boot.

Could be daft idea cos ive just sat staring out the window and it came to me...open the middle front window of you van, (hopeing it has an opening front window) then place a bathroom mirrow at the angle needed to be able to see the hitch when seated in your car, then as you reverse up to the hitch your tow ball will come into sight of the mirrow and this should then make it easy to line up ball and hitch. Never tried it my self but it could work. :)

Have you tried using two of the telescopic magnetic pick-up tools, as used for retrieving lost screws etc. -Only a couple of quid each-put one on the hitch and the other on the towball, get them lined up and Bob's your uncle? If you've got a hatch-back, you'd probably get away with only one.
