home made sat tripod

went shopping with the wife on sat and found netto to be selling a work lamp on a tripod for £4.99 thought that might make a good satellite stand!

heres my effort if very little on the effort side!! (its now painted black)

To post your picture you need to first re size your picture to medium or large then copy/paste the HTML code (3rd one down)Graham
 
If you drill a hole 2" in from the end of the legs, ( just big enough for the pegs to fit through ) you can then peg it down so that the wind wont blow it over easily, it will be cheaper than buying a new LNB .....

They don't like to bounce.....
 
Nice job graham, I bought a fishing tripod from Go outdoors. It had a two rod holder on the top, so I just cut through the clip and was left with a flat surface where I just bolted my dish on. Cost was
 
One point, the dish does not need to be so high. Provided it has a clear sight path in the direction of the sat it can be mounted at ground level - which will improve the stability even more.
