SWMBLAO, dictates that we are at home for Xmas due to kids coming home but been away for the New Year, always had a good time, I know trying to book a site for Xmas and New Year is almost impossible due to sites being full. :cheer:

Having lived in the tropics, Nigeria and Trinidad for the last 35 years, I love cold winters. For me I would go North, haven't got Arthitice yet.

Just had week away in Forest of Dean. Got to be home for Xmas as van isn’t big enough for eight. Tried both clubs for New Year and could not get a pitch on hard standing. Only C&CC had grass pitch at Sandringham with no electrics! Van goes in for service next week prior to being used as overspill accommodation over holiday period. Then out again early in new year probably to a nice Cornish site.

Home for Christmas, but off to Littlehampton Club Site for the New Year.
My days of celebrating the New Year are long gone and I prefer to stay in the van watching Jools Holland and his guests.
Regards,

Christmas? Bah, humbug! But I do like New Year. This year we'll be with the Retro Caravan Club somewhere in Leicestershire, I think, but home for Christmas. I have to enjoy it, cos Herself does!

We're spending Christmas with my family (which is normal) but going to the Edinburgh concert in the gardens for new year :cheer: it's the first time we've spent new year either in the caravan or in Scotland.

On the morning of New Year's Day, I've (either bravely or foolishly) signed up for an open water swim in the Firth of Forth ... not sure but I suspect that I may have been drunk when I did that
