I'd like to know what the diesel 05/06 Accord is like as a towcar if anybody is out there with one!

I cannot answer the question on the petrol Accord but regarding Sonics reply I have a 05 Accord Tourer with the 2.2 diesel engine. I can't fault the car but the engine is the most impressive part it is without doubt the best diesel I have driven. I tow a Senator Oklahoma which is loaded to around 90% again the vehicle handles this well with no stability issues. I admit that you tend to be biased towards the car you drive but anyone in the market for a new car I would recommend them to take a test drive in an Accord or CRV diesel

I used to own the last model Accord. Great car except for the fuel consumption. I found it terrible and that was with the 1.8 VTec. I recently spoke to a couple of people who have the 2.4 petrol...and don't tow. They say they are disappointed with the fuel consumption on this model. I can't speak for the diesel, but it is nearly always better in my experience.

Hi there

I can't comment on the petrol, but we have the diesel saloon. It is excellent. It tows our Ace Jubilee Globetrotter with no problems at all. Fuel consumption has been good, the only thing is to regularly check the oil. It does like a drink when new!!
